As part of Omnimed's ongoing commitment to supporting our customers and prospects in making greener choices, Ominmed's Commercial Manager, John Wood and Clive Waters, Area Sales Consultant (South East & London), delivered Omnimed's Greener Together presentation to the Endoscopy Team at University College London Hospital.
Delivered as part of a study day, Omnimed's Greener Together presentation started the conversation on how Omnimed can support the endoscopy unit at University College London Hospital in working towards their Green Endoscopy goals.
Clive said,
"I spend a lot of my time in endoscopy units working with clinicians to help them select the best endoscopy accessories for their clinical, patient and budgetary needs, and whilst Green Endoscopy frequently features in those conversations, time doesn't always allow for a more in-depth discussion on this pressing issue. By delivering the Greener Together presentations, I'm able to gain a deeper understanding of the challenges endoscopy units are facing with the issue of sustainability and highlight ways that Omnimed can support them through this new frontier.
The presentation covered ways Omnimed operates to minimise our carbon footprint and how endoscopy units can make changes in areas such as staff behaviours, energy consumption, waste management, patient travel and procurement."
Clive added,
"As a Sales Consultant, it also helps me gain a better understanding of which products are likely to be more suitable to meet certain Green Endoscopy goals a hospital may have."
John said,
"By having the conversations that take place during these sessions, Omnimed become more informed on our customer's needs - we listen to concerns, discuss how we can all work through challenges and share solutions."
Attendees received a thank you postcard with 10% off first new order, a couple of our ever popular Black Eye™ and Blue Eye™ pens and a sample of our packing chips which are starch based and so more environmentally friendly. The chips are biodegradable and fully soluble in water, giving attendees the opportunity to have a play with the dissolving effect and watch the magic of greener packaging with their own eyes.
John added,
"Our Greener Together sessions continue to grow in popularity and the positive feedback we keep receiving further motivates us to deliver this impactful offering to more of our customers."
