Omnimed Donates To Help Local School Buy New Climbing Frame

On a brisk autumnal afternoon in October, Omnimed’s Managing Director, Michael Morris, found himself back at school, proving that his school reports were in fact far more accurate than he cares to remember. His teacher was right when she remarked that Michael was “good with numbers and always happy to help fellow pupils.” What’s this got to do with Omnimed, you ask? Everything — because whether it’s through a donation or other form of support, we’re committed to supporting the local community.

On finding out that Itchen Abbas Primary School were looking for help funding the purchase of a new climbing frame for their pupils, Omnimed saw this as an opportunity to both assist their local primary school in acquiring the new climbing frame and demonstrate their commitment towards creating positive social impact.

Michael attended the official opening of the brand-new climbing frame for the children at Itchen Abbas Primary School along with members of the Rotary Club of Alresford and the Alresford Pigs Association.

Michael said, “Providing social value is something that is becoming increasingly important to us both as a business and particularly as an NHS supplier. We’ve worked towards this by supporting our local primary school in acquiring equipment that promotes healthy activity and wellbeing of the pupils, and by collaborating with local community groups.”

Michael enthused, “I’m thrilled that along with the incredible donations from the community that made this possible, Omnimed joined the Rotary and the Alresford Pigs in making donations towards this project. Many of us are aware of the work Rotary does to enhance local communities, along with the Alresford Pigs, who have given financial help to those in need in Alresford and the surrounding villages for more than 50 years.”

Michael added, “I’m absolutely delighted that the climbing frame has been made by Made2play, as they are, like Omnimed, a local family-owned business. I look forward to the climbing frame being enjoyed by our local school children for many years to come!”
