Sterile, single-use haemoclips / hemoclips are used to prevent bleeding in the gastrointestinal (GI) tract during colonoscopy. This is usually after a polyp has been removed from the colon or to treat a bleeding ulcer. Haemoclips are used to approximate two sides of a blood vessel to securely occlude and arrest bleeding.

Disposable haemoclips can be placed in the GI tract for:

  • Endoscopic marking
  • Haemostasis for:
    • Mucosal/sub-mucosal defects < 3 cm
    • Bleeding ulcers
    • Arteries < 2 mm
    • Polyps < 1.5 cm in diameter
    • Diverticula in the colon

These haemoclips benefit from 360° rotation in multiple directions and are repositionable up to 10 times. They feature a short tail for safer, easier release and reduced obstruction in the field of vision. Available in a range of opening widths to support a wide range of clinical treatment needs and are MRI conditional.
