Endoport 2026 | Mar 2026 | Review

Omnimed are pleased to report a productive and successful time at Endoport 2026. There were a number of sessions and topics we found particularly beneficial. Let’s hear from Omnimed’s team members who attended the event...

Omnimed’s Commercial Manager, John Wood reflects on the Friday:

"I sat in on the session titled Future of ESD: Novel knives, diathermy, underwater, pocket/tunnel, traction, scopes, which provided both a brief history of ESD as well as insight into current developments and applications, delivered by Dr Noriko Suzuki, Dr A Parra-Blanco and Dr Ed Despott. It highlighted considerations and offered solutions in the decision-making process when deciding on the best approach to take for colorectal ESD, for instance, such as Saline Immersion vs Traction Technique."

John added,

"Looking at the programme generally, the line-up of speakers looked pretty impressive, and they definitely were on the session I sat in on. It was also great to meet up with Mehana Pais, one of our customers from Andover War Memorial Hospital."

Omnimed’s Area Sales Consultant for South East England and London, Clive Waters:

"The majority of the delegates I talked to seemed to be much more local to Portsmouth than in past Endoport seminars, which for Omnimed meant we were able to connect with a much more local customer and prospect base. It was encouraging to see more nurses in attendance than in previous years, and it was reassuring to converse about hospitals’ plans to work with ESD, which confirmed much of what we already know. The feedback from attendees who attended seminars was that they were very beneficial. The dinner provided the opportunity to share a table with delegates from one of our long-standing customers, St George’s Hospital, who of course we took great pleasure in chatting to."

Omnimed’s Callum Murphy, Business Development:

"It was a really good event overall. I met Pradeep Bhandari for the first time and also spoke with lots of other doctors during the day. The product stand was a good experience, with many people coming over to talk about the products and how they are using them in practice. These conversations gave me a better understanding of what clinicians are currently looking for in terms of products.

One of the standout state-of-the-art talks was from Michał Kamiński on endoscopic resection for Barrett’s cancer. It was interesting to see how the field is moving more towards organ-preserving treatments, with more patients now being considered suitable for ESD in the right situations.

There was also discussion around whether oncological treatment could be used as a bridge in high-risk but carefully selected patients, which shows how treatment approaches continue to develop.

Overall, it was a very well organised event with a strong group of speakers and lots of useful learning."

Omnimed would like to thank Professor Pradeep Bhandari and his team who organised the event, along with all the great speakers who made this a truly outstanding experience.
